Blast from the pastWhile chatting with Fred about Iron Man the animated series, I looked and found this (to me) incredibly interesting article.

Mostly during the 90s I collected a whole crapload of Marvel superhero figures made by ToyBiz (who would later be entirely bought by Marvel, not just contracted to make figures). Some of them were really incredible. I liked the Iron Man figures a lot even if some of them were silly. I was never really that into Batman figures as Batman never really wore much of any of the outfits they put him in for the toy line. But for Iron Man it made a lot more sense to do variant armors.
The animated Iron Man show got a lot better with its second season (as did its sister show, the Fantastic Four). Looking over the above article I realize I have all but two of the released Iron Man figures. If you count the figures that weren't made as the IM 5th series but were recycled into other guys I have three more and lack two others.
ToyBiz made some really fantastic figures. I haven't really liked anything they have done for a few years now. I miss my figures.
We should probably find an even bigger house so I can have a room all for my toys.
Toys, toys, toys!
